Each project represents a commitment to creating evidence-based solutions for more inclusive schools, workplaces, and communities.

What Happens After the Workshop?

Through Ph.D. work on the Theory of Planned Behavior and professional development (PD) implementation, I discovered that the factors influencing successful PD implementation were well-documented in research literature but poorly understood and rarely applied in educational practice. The gap wasn’t in our knowledge of what works—it was in our systematic application of that knowledge.

Black History in Two Minutes

In collaboration with the Hutchins Center for African & African American Research, we create teaching and learning resources to accompany a suite of short, engaging videos on important yet commonly overlooked events in American history. The teaching guides aim to support the inclusion of this powerful video content throughout the academic year.

DUCC

Developing & Using Critical Comprehension. A new approach to K-5 digital literacy: teaching kids how to think, not what to think. DUCC teaches K-5 students digital literacy through a combination of critical thinking skills and social-emotional learning. Join Daniel & his friends in developing & using critical comprehension with DUCC’s 24-lesson curriculum, complete with four lesson plans per grade, animated videos, online games & more!

ILA's Children's Rights to Read

This guide—written specifically for teachers and reading/literacy specialists, administrators, school and

public librarians, families and caregivers, and policymakers—is the next step. It includes several recommended

action items for those in each of the aforementioned groups as well as suggestions for how to accomplish

the actions and ensure the rights to read are met across the globe.
